ICE is detaining people, mostly in private, for-profit prisons that put profit over health. And now they have furloughed the safety inspectors. This is unacceptable.

I think it’s one thing to turn away a congressional visit, because it’s so easy to frame that as being a political stunt. To turn away the governor of the state, though, is an altogether different action with legitimate jurisdictional issues.

Pritzker should show up, and he should insist.

Until many American voters stop hating BIPOC/LGBTQ+ more than they love their children, we will never have universal healthcare. I have also heard from even educated people, that they don’t want to sit in a doctor’s office with criminals and the underclass. They believe the poor made poor choices.
