Was good to chat with @bobdorissnp.bsky.social about our work supporting children and families in Glasgow, as well as our calls to tackle the public debt crisis to help end child poverty. #ChallengePovertyWeek

Looking forward to seeing this new initiative being developed as part of our record investment in Scotland's NHS.

We’re opening new GP walk-in centres across Scotland, staffed by doctors and nurses, and you won't need an appointment.

Open from 12 to 8, 7 days a week, so you can get the care you need at a time that works for you.
Graphic with headline text “New GP Walk-In Centres.” Subtext reads “You can see a doctor without rushing to get an appointment.” Background image shows a stethoscope on a desk. SNP and Scottish flag logos appear at the bottom.

With the elections taking place next year, I've launched my Crowdfunder, to help us secure an SNP victory in Kelvin & Maryhill.

Any amount you give is very appreciated and will be used to promote the vision of a socially just, independent Scotland.

Action on Off-Road Vehicle and E-Bike Misuse

I was pleased to have confirmed to me that Police Scotland are reviewing guidance around the confiscation of off-road vehicles and often (illegally modified) e-bikes which are being misused by small group of irresponsible users.

Wester Common Community Market

It was great to support the first Community Market in Wester Common a few week’s ago. I am delighted to say there will be another market on October 18th. If you get chance grab a coffee from The Pantry Café also. Very nice. Well done all involved.

It was good to catch up with Rosemary Nimmo and Margaret Harvey last week to congratulate them on their combined 84 years of service for the 90th Glasgow Girls Brigade in Summerston. I was also pleased to acknowledge their service in a parliamentary motion.

Surrounded by a brilliant team of activists at the formal launch my SNP campaign for Glasgow Kelvin & Maryhill. It was great discussing the issues that matter most to our communities. We're ready to get out + speak to as many people as possible - let me know your views - https://www.bob.scot/survey

Scotland has the lowest rate of train cancellations in the UK. It shows the difference the SNP bringing ScotRail back into public ownership has made to the quality of the rail service in Glasgow and across Scotland.

In the Scottish Parliament, I led a members' debate on the SNP Government’s abolition of peak rail fares. This gave me a chance to again call for improved frequency of services on the Maryhill line. Abolition can also help increase the frequency of local services, as, hopefully, more people travel.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy causes progressive muscle wastage and affects movement, breathing and swallowing. From the start of next year, Scotland will be the first nation in the UK to screen newborn babies for this rare condition.

I was out at Partick Station this morning, along with Colm Merrick, as we talked to commuters. Today saw our SNP Scottish Government scrapping peak rail fares.
I'm calling on passengers right across our city to get on Scotland's railways. Together, let's expand our rail service.

Lovely visit to Kelvindale Primary this week to meet the (then) P6 team who placed third in the schools Euroquiz competition before the summer. All the more impressive given 560 teams competed! Pleased to recognise in a parliamentary motion. Well done Abbie, Libero, Aarya & Selene.
