You can make your own tv channels with morning, afternoon, evening and night programming. Just add files to folders and it will make today's lineup.
It also shows commercials between shows but only the one you add.

I'm so tired of streaming, too many choices and so much junk.
I have been ripping most of my dvds to a harddrive but we never watched them.
So I took a raspberry pi and built myself a retro Cable tv box.
Complete with a guide channel where you select what you want to watch.
I love it!
