everytime i read more of umineko, i become more and more impressed with the quality of its writing and story. i’m not even done with episode 1 yet. i played a lot of games this year, some of which i would rank in my top 20 of all time, but i think this is the best, most impactful one yet

one bit of storytelling i find interesting in umineko is that the character synopses are written fairly neutrally at the start, but most become mocking after a character dies(although some are instead just matter-of-fact or blunt). also i just realized this while typing because i hadnt read some of
