Ivy and her brother Seb, along with Valian, have more adventures as they discover more about being uncommon. They play a game that might kill them, travel to places in a bag that shouldn't be able to work and take down some very senior people.
The background is very green with buildings and people depicted. The title is large and right in the centre.

If you love a good murder mystery with multiple suspects and a huge plot twist, then this is the book for you. I read it in one sitting. Unputdownable!
A green from cover. The bottom half of a woman in blue trousers and black heels is holding a for sale sign and sliding across the front . Blood is dripping off the for sale sign.

Salim enters the London Eye and 30 minutes later, he doesn't leave. Where did he go? The police are called, but Ted and Kat decide that they can work out what happened. Ted puts his 'brain that works on a different operating system' into gear and to see what he can discover.
Some London Eye pods and sweeping across the front with the title and author bisecting them.

A talking llama, an elective mute and a crazy house combine to make a laugh out loud story. Yasmin has a lot to say but nobody listens, so she says nothing. Along comes Levi, determined to change that. Will he work his magic, or will he drive an even bigger wedge between her and her family?
Lots of bright colours are on the front. There is a large llama with its mouth open and a young girl falling over.

This was such a clever story. A tale of magic and lies intertwined with well-known fairy tales - what a great idea! There's a message about differences being good and not a dangerous thing. I loved it. as did my Year 6 class.
3 girls in cloaks are behind a white wolf. Behind the girls is a dark and mysterious forest.

Dragons, magic, kidnap and Death. what more do you need?! Hope lives in a black and white world. It used to be filled with colour, but not now. Could Hope help to bring colour back, along with her new found friends? A really lovely story about not hiding who you are and not just blending in.
A girl stands in the middle of the book and she is wearing a blue dress. Out of her hands, colour is shooting and everything behind her is black and white.

This is a lovely story. Willow has 'the worst' magical power in her family. Unbeknown to anyone, Willow will do amazing things. It's a story about size doesn't matter and even small things can make a big difference.
A Witch is standing with what looks like a cat (but isn't) in a bag.

Yeah I loved the wolf part. I didn't expect it at all!

what a fantastic story. I fell in love with both characters; Hero for her determination and Jack for his methodical thinking and caring attitude towards her. Amd the ending ❤️ This is definitely one I'll be reading again.
The title is written in white on a red background. Underneath is the shadow of a wold.

What a story! It's got it all: goodies, baddies, love, sibling jealousy, aliens, annihilation of Earth and friendship. There are twists and turns that have you guessing the whole way to the end and then there's the humour. It's laugh-out-loud funny in places. @idanielpeak.bsky.social
The title is in large green letters at the top. Underneath is a picture of 4 people. They are all standing and looking forwards with a range of facial expressions. In the background there are various space/techie objects floating around.

I'm so glad I read this. I was desperate to read it and it didn't disappoint. Poor Nate has such a lot to deal with every day but it was great to see him again My class will love this, they live a sad story! Amazing illustrations really bring the story to life.
A bird is flying across the top of the book. 4 children are sitting by a large window. 2 are looking out, 1 is working and one has turned around. Outside they can see a green park area and a city behind it.

@sallywrites.bsky.social what a fabulous ending to the trilogy. I cried and laughed and couldn't put it down. I love the relationships Toby has with everyone he meets and how he never makes decisions selfishly. Such a fantastic series. ❤️
A greeny background with people looking down from above onto a house with 4 turrets. The title is written in large letters at the top.

We read Cogheart and my class loved it. So many have bought the 2nd one. It might not seem like much, but in my school, many parents don't value reading and many families are FSM. The fact that so many have bought the 2nd one is incredible. That's the power of books. ❤️ 📚
2 books side by side. Cogheart is on the left and Moonlocket is on the right. Both are by Peter Bunzl.

@ldlapinski.bsky.social never disappoints and this is no exception. I already can't wait for the next installment! So much adventure and danger and mystery and betrayal. I hope Ed and Elodie eventually get to settle down happily with their dads and be a magical family.
The title is in large yellow/gold letters across the top. The picture is of a boat with 2 children at the front. The sky is dark and waves are crashing against the boat while lightning forks out of the sky.

I couldn't put this down. It's such a beautiful story of how a young autistic celebrity navigates her way through life when she wants anonymity for a summer. It was emotional and at points, but I want more Allegra books. Please say she'll be back @ellemcnicoll.bsky.social
A girl in oversized sunglassesis holding an open book with the title on it. You can only see part of her face.

My 10y/old has been desperate for me to read this, so I did, and it didn't disappoint. It was funny and clever, and I'm definitely reading the rest. We're off to buy book number 6 at the weekend. @johngreenart.bsky.social
Investigators is written in large at the top. There are 2 crocodiles walking on 2 feet in the middle of the picture.

What a brilliant story. It's a but creepy, a bit sinister, but a really good read! Set in a sleepy seaside town and a museum, what could possibly go wrong!? Fast paced with some twists I didn't see coming. Absolute must-read for fans of mystery stories. @fionalongmuir.bsky.social
A blue background with the title in white across the middle. Around the edge are images of seaside 'things' like lighthouses, boats etc.

Another book recommended by my class, they're loving funny at the moment. This one had me laughing out loud LOADS as well as guessing about the curse. A brilliant story, like all of the ones I've read by Pamela Butchart and fabulous illustrations by @thomasflintham.bsky.social
A red background with the title in yellow in the middle. 3 children are looking worried. 1 is in a hospital bed with a broke foot and the other 2 are watching her.

This arrived at school on Friday so I borrowed it and absolutely loved it. Full of so many terrifying moments and cliffhangers that I'm not sure I'll be heading to the woods for a while! 🤣 I really hope the next one will be along soon, I need to know what happens next!
The title ,series chillers, is written in spooky writing at the top. Below are 4 children being chased out of the woods by a creepy woman figure.

What a book! A great murder mystery for anyone who enjoys the genre. So many times I thought I'd guessed it, but there were so many twists and turns I was never close! A real page turner.
The title is in the middle of the page. 2 characters and a tortoise are along g the bottom and below them is a narwhal.

I finished 3 very different books yesterday, and I absolutely loved them all. Rooftoppers with my class, HP with my youngest son, and A Monster Calls as an audio book in the car. ❤️
3 books on one page: Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J K Rowlimg and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.

I loved this story. It was fast paced and there were definitely twists I didn't see coming. A brilliantly magical story.
There is a bolt of light shooting out of a city with a bird flying in it. 2 children are standing and looking at it. The title is in large writing at the bottom. A screenshot of text. The text reviews the book. It reads:
Imagine finding a secret door and going through it. Imagine finding magic through that door. Imagine going on an adventure to return a missing child in a magical labyrinth. Well, that all happens to Benjamiah Creek. And much more. He reads non-fiction and doesn't really believe in stories and magic, but that all changes when he is forced to confront magic in a brand new world. He learns important lessons about friendships and families and helps reunite a family.

I feel exactly the same. Not somewhere I ideally want to be today. Hope it goes OK.
