If the house is not in session, no one can issue a lack of confidence vote or address efforts to impeach the orange menace or any of his flunkies or expect him to have his pick for various posts approved. It’s easier for Dear Leader without the House in session.

Just saw a car commercial where the announcer gleefully stated that the cost was “only $850 a month for 24 months”. I haven’t bought a car since 2015 (and paid cash for that one). My car had better last for a long, long time!

It’s not just the corporations that pay CEOs so much. It’s the stock owners that demand “profits” even if it means underpaying staff. It’s landlords that charge as much as they can to increase their profits, leaving people no choice of cheaper rents.

Under Biden, they were just managing inflation. Under the current admins, everyone is forced to pick the lesser of two evils. Agree to increased healthcare cost or deal with no SNAP? Deal with inflation or deal with job losses? It’s a bunch of avoidable no-win situations.

Uncle Stanley was my dad’s cousin.

Uncle Leroy was my Uncle Virgil‘s brother. Uncle Virgil was married to my dad’s sister, so not my biological uncle.

The most scandalous were Uncle Roy and Uncle Earl. My mother was an only child, and they only came around when my dad was at work.

I also am considered “aunt” to a bunch of kids from close friends. Sometimes the family you pick up along the way is. Eater than the one biology gave you.

I have a second cousin who calls me Aunt. I take it as a sign of his respect because when I was a kid, I called my uncle-by-marriage’s brother “uncle” for the same reason. It wasn’t respectful to use his first name and lacked any kind of affection to call him “Mr.”

When my husband could no longer hide his baldness with lever combing, he started wearing baseball caps everywhere. He even showed up at our daughter’s wedding in a baseball cap. Fortunately, he didn’t insist on erring it in the wedding! My husband was way smarter than this guy!

Convenient that the House of Representatives continues to be closed. It’s hard to initiate a lack of confidence vote if the House Leaser closes the House. If we ever get past this mess, a change is needed to prevent this!
