I've seen lots of folks ask this in various places.

I believe the plan is to make the VOD available on our Twitch page. But seeing as its our first livestream, I can't guarantee that we know how to do that!

Also, all the Europeans are probably in bed by now. So tomorrow at the earliest, I suspect.

Yes, precisely. Some of our internal testing suggests that, basically, if the Client's busy writing a crapload of info to the Log, it might not be able to simultaneously -- reliably -- send/receive data to/from the Server. Resulting in Lag/Latency-like symptoms.
The reason I ask is, *perhaps* there's just so much going on in combat now that what was an adequate way to record that information in the past may now be struggling to write everything quickly enough?

Partially thinking out loud, but kind of curious if it's at least part of what you're thinking.

We are investigating server framerates and hardware load. As well as investigating certain performance failures associated with powers & combat mechanics.

It's a slow process, with a tedious pipeline. And I can't even guarantee that these investigations will yield results. But yes... we're trying.
The mere fact it's even being looked at and possibly addressed is hopeful so we'll do whatever we can to provide whatever data you all need to help the issues get sorted so thanks for that!

Good tip here from @casualsab.bsky.social for all you log parsers out there.
It is not uncommon that folks need to add an exclusion to their antivirus software to ignore the combatlog.log file.

Otherwise in some situations it likes to scan every change and that has caused issues for some.

But we'll try and get some testing done over the weekend

Quick question for any of you super-high-end-DPS players, who are experiencing performance issues (lag, latency, client hitching):

Do you get significant and/or noticeable performance increases if you DISABLE combat logging?

Internally, the answer appears to be "yes" but I'd love verification.

No, this is not something we're considering at this time, regardless of how "amplified" the request gets.
@borticuscryptic.bsky.social I know after Spencer amplified the message you guys probably have heard the community loud and clear about us wanting non-set omnis to be unlimited but locked to rear slots. How have you guys taken that feedback, is it something you're looking at implementing?

This is something we've been discussing internally. When we have a resolution on the matter, we will communicate it outward.

For now, we're staying quiet to ensure that our messaging is consistent with our actions. But you should be hearing from us soon.

What if Endeavor Ranks were turned off in PvP? Or was at least an option for Private PvP matches? Would that address some/most/all of the "Vet vs. Newbie" concerns for PvPers?

Hey Captains! I've fixed a bug with the misaligned placement of the indicator light for the temporal ability that shows up on the Ranger and Paladin. This also restores the color changing functionality of the dome - but due to technical reasons requires you to reapply the template to take effect!

To speak to our motivations: We didn't set out to make it explicitly longer/harder, just for the sake of being longer/harder....
Y'know...I wish y'all didn't feel a need to make Event TFOs long and arduous. The higher difficulties, sure, but if I'm gonna play the same mission for 20 days straight, I'd rather it be relatively quick and easy. Patching the new TFO explicitly to be harder/take longer feels mean-spirited.
