"We base our decision only on the work and the will of [the inventor of dynamite]" is probably not what most people imagine when they think of the criteria for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The most perfectly Lib Dem ending to a dystopian sci fi story.

"...and then the YouTubers said 'no', and the machines just stopped"

Nothing defines this government as succinctly as our foreign policy aims including protecting the PM from having to admit getting an answer wrong in an LBC interview.

In 2022 he could have apologised and moved on. Instead his MPs are denying a livestreamed genocide to protect his own ego.

Indeed. The last few decades' increasing costs of housing, education, and family life disproportionately impact younger people.

That pressure is going to be balanced elsewhere, so it is no surprise that young people are unable to afford the same leisure activities as their parents could.

Like so many of her colleagues, her legacy will be one of supporting a genocide.

Her defensiveness simply reflects the shame and humiliation that she knows will follow her through public life.

I think Luke Nukem typed 'consequences' when he meant to type 'peerages'.

I accidentally said "the populist left want to take the country down a darker path" out loud and all the dogs in my neighborhood started barking.

Clearly not as racist as *checks notes* Labour Party members between 2015 and 2019.

Maybe I'm just being idealistic. But I consider the Party that is supporting a genocide, echoing Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood speech, and reneging on pledges to the LGBTQ+ community to be 'the enemy'.

At least we won't have to hear centrist pundits talking about 'the worst Labour result in a hundred years' any more.

Cannot wait to see the calibre of the several hundred Reform peers appointed to pass Reform legislation as well.

That's right Keith, keep attacking the Left. That'll win them back.

"Did you like this week's episode of Scooby Doo, Neal?"

"Incredible as always. How do they come up with such complex storylines? It was the most breathtakingly brilliant and cynical operation I’ve ever witnessed."

A lot of people in the media class waking up today to the horrific realisation that their friendly coverage of the Far Right may make it hard to get a cleaner, nanny, and skinny latte after 2029.

We should welcome Centrists realising that the racists were the actually the people getting pissed and rioting at the Cenotaph, not the people opposing apartheid.

That said, I hope Dunt's mum's care worker flips him the bird as she leaves after showing him where the adult nappies are stored.

I'm not a lawyer, but given that the State Pension is a benefit and the Government can legislate for changes to benefit eligibility, I doubt they would need to compensate people.

National Insurance entitles you to the benefit, but the rules of that benefit can be changed at any time.

Reform is proposing to remove all access to benefits by migrants.

The State Pension is a benefit.

Presumably under their policies non-British residents of the UK would no longer be eligible for the state pensions to which they have previously contributed.

A few guys in Europe tried that. But my history books only go up to 1940 so I'm not sure how it turned out for them.
