they did not mean to be a set but after i finished them both i realized they ended up being one. they portray basically the same subject, but the tone and the mood are different through the use of colours, surroundings, body language
excerpts from my notes on the matter: "in the first one there is an implication that they are out in the open, alone yet with a chance of being caught. it would be scandalous if they were seen like this but they are still drawn to each other, badly -- they're playing with fire so it's about being quick in the act. it is hurried and implies certain forbidden-ness. cassidy is fully clothed, genji is only partially undressed. the light falls directly on them, alluding to being exposed. genji welcomes cassidy's desire, and so he invites cassidy to satisfy him. he puts his legs on cassidy's shoulders, as if drawing him in closer, wanting more of him, claiming him, desperately, with lust but also with a certain yearning. you want me and i want you, do it more and do it harder while i'm so vulnerable, for you." "in the second one there is a shift. they now have complete privacy, in what i imagine is genji's bedroom, which allows them to be fully open with each other. it's just them, they can take their time, to fully undress, to assume the pose, to perform the act. behind the curtains, literally and figuratively. cassidy takes an even more submissive role as genji rides his face, looking very smug about it, having his hand in cassidy's hair, dominating. in here they are real, they do not concern themselves with what's out there -- the light outside, as they are in the muted colours of being hidden away. in lovely pinks and reds.
