This was possible due to Sora lending a portion of his energy to Tails to be able to completely destroy the alternates in said area.

Following shortly, a vast array of canons would shoot beams of energy through various portals created by Len.

These portals sent said beams through every plane of existence possible, both physical and metaphysical, each being aimed at various alternates.
