Cycling "journalism" isn't really doing itself any favors by mimicking the average reddit poster.

Instead of reporting the actions and intent of the UCI, they feed the collective oppositional defiance disorder.

Deep section wheels ARE less stable, and that's what they're trying to address.
The UCI's wheel depth rule is pointless, and our testing data shows why www.cyclingnews.com/cycling-tech...

Don't chase Remco, don't chase Jonas, don't chase that random cyclist that passed you. Stop being freaks.

The debate is over whether one should be a dickhead or not and the universal answer should be "No."

New conspiracy hypothesis: the Space Force was split off in a way that makes it unsustainable in the long term with the intent of privatization.
While mocking the Space Force, as one does, I wanted to get something correct and found the answer was worse than I had imagined

The USAF has 330k personnel, the USSF (lol) has fewer than 10k. It also has a separate ("but parallel"?) basic training, also at Lackland

That is silly and inefficient

It's getting closer....
Sometimes I dream about seeing the great recession coming and shifting my investments so I could swoop in at the bottom in early 2009 and make out like a bandit.

Seems like that opportunity is coming again due to a couple unrelated factors.

Re: Anarchism...

Listen, I know my happy little fantasy has some glaring issues, but have you considered that reality is imperfect? Have a little humility.

This whole segment was ridiculous, but the aero helmet "comfort" thing is obviously wrong.

Like, they're hotter...they have less ventilation. I have both, and the aero helmet is for mild and cool weather...less ventilation is nice in cold weather, not so good when it's hot.
The data is clear: Aerodynamics provided a massive efficiency gain, allowing me to match a significantly stronger rider on the flats. Here is the math, plus the latest on the Vingegaard fan crash. bit.ly/4q9Rfm1

It will never stop being fascinating to watch ordinary people living their ordinary lives act as if anything is possible if you just try.

How is that working out for you? I guess you just never wanted to do anything of note, right? If you did, though...

Imagine the possibilities.

I wonder if there's some lovable freak out there that's been tracking the amount of tire problems in pro cycling during the transition from tubular to tubeless.

For the most part, this is a dumb rule created for disingenuous reasons.

One side effect is some level of economic fairness...but that's not to say that every mtb race should copy it.
Is this the end of a short, aero era?

The resurgence of drop bar mtbs is a testament to how good mountain bikes have gotten. IF how and where you ride doesn't require the level of grip that a modern mtb provides due to improved weight distribution, drop bars can be an improvement in both comfort and performance.

What if Strava did less and just tried being SportsBook?

No more HR and power data, just stop trying to bother with things that people are inevitably go elsewhere for (for good reason) to do like data analysis, coaching, etc.

Activities, photos, segments, that's it. With ads, or premium without.

Utter ridiculousness. Touch grass, ride your bike, talk to your parents/kid/partner, whatever it takes. Don't be like this guy.

The cool thing about classic Porsche 911s is that they're actually relatively practical. I had an '84 for a few years and used it as a basic second car on nicer days when it wasn't too hot to drive without A/C.

The fact that it had a better heater than a water cooled car made that pretty easy.
