There's a cat that wanders by the back door in the mornings...
One day, I opened the door and he came in, explored the place and hung out on the couch with me for a few, then he left.
It hasn't happened since, and I'm a little hurt.

Just saw a right-wing influencer portrayed as "the media" and....I guess feeling like everyone is out to keep you down is as valid a feeling as any other, it's just not very productive.
The man being attacked dgaf. Seems like a good approach, but wtf do I know.

There's a certain kind of mtb racer that seems to think utilizing technical skills is unfair.
Skill issue. Don't do that, get gud.

It must be that time of year for cyclists to make new (the same?) unrealistic expectations for the next year.
Listened to two training podcasts that talked about specific improvements, and both mentioned sprinting first and foremost...uh, just how many people in a race are contesting the win?

I remember when SRAM brought out their new road drive trains and they didn't even offer the chainring/PM combo that everyone is yelling about needing. They could put out a different set of rings in a few months...still won't shift for shit, but that's SRAM.

"Everyone is 12" also applies to a lot of bicycle discourse, and it's not a good look.

Online dating:
Woman "likes" me, I respond...
Three exchanges and not one question from her. Not even a "how about you" in response to my questions.
This isn't very rare either. Live up to your own expectations.

This is a bad quote. He did say it, but it removes the context to make it sound less professional. (Being professional is winning AND losing with class)

After ~6 months of ownership, I finally used my Cycplus battery powered inflator in frustration on a mountain bike ride and it is awesome. Low/no effort and much less annoying sounding outside vs. inside.
Seriously, get one and eventually you'll see for yourself.

I thought this was a really good video, very off-brand for YouTube/internet bike talk.
Basically, suspension and drive train don't really matter beyond a not-very-high level. Frame, touchpoints, and wheels are what matters.

I feel like bicycle manufacturers are leading themselves to bad positions.
When you're building multiple bikes that aren't all that different from their siblings at some point you have to ask yourself what you're doing.
CN: This bike isn't much different from an Ostro. The stack is 5mm higher.

David Millar said that at Unbound the Aluto “delivered in every condition”
New Factor Aluto gravel bike ‘sets a new standard for the all-rounder’ – without monster tyre clearance
As gravel tyres get fatter, Factor takes a different path – sharper geometry and a refined ride feel that's designed to go long

Probably should be doing this every year like bleeding brakes.
