I feel that way too sometimes, but I also think doing stuff just because you want and can is still valuable! Also even if they don’t necessarily engage directly, I still think there are folks out there who appreciate when friends are genuine regardless of the reasoning. :)

I hold myself to very high expectations, and have for a long time. I also recognize I really need to work on tempering my expectations of others both at work and in general because I get worked up way too easily over things that really shouldn’t matter in the long run 😣
