I think I've read this in one of Scott Cunningham's books, when he talked about teaching:
He suggested for his students for researching the effect of their craft to do multiple 'projects' at the same time. One short, one middle, and a long-term one.
And I think this is a great advice.

Still sick and worse this morning. Left tonsils are so swollen, it’s difficult to swallow food. I haven’t been able to hold down any food for over a week and lost some weight but at the cost of being very weak. Got2go urgent care but can’t swing the $80 copay. Gonna lay in bed until I figure it out.

Been taking care of sick kids since last week and now they’re better, I am sick burning up with hot flashes and chills. I have some medicine but don’t have $30 in parking money and could use a good albondigas soup to nurse me back to health for tomorrow’s move to another motel and it’s raining.
