A little bit of excitement from last night. The northern lights very rarely ever make it down into central California. Had to go out and see what I could capture.

Set up a tripod, set a shutter speed of a few seconds, set an interval to keep shooting automatically and hope that lightning appears while it's capturing 🙂

Haha nope, it's just a long exposure shot and there are little bubbles in the water here so you can see the movement. Thanks!

Thanks! Lightning is dumb luck a lot of the time. I went for the sunset, I wasn't expecting the lightning.

Yep, sunset still glowing on the right while the lightning storm was coming in from the left. I have some with the lightning behind the rock doing a backlit thing but liked this half and half sort of one best
