Over the past few years I’ve kept a Noticing note on my phone, a log of all the species that caught my eye throughout the year as a sort of bioregional calendar.

Me and Sower spent a whole day at the beach building a sand kingdom (complete with tavern, market, farming village, bay w lighthouse, etc)

Sitting at a conference working on my laptop and a guy came over and asked what the character above the 1 on my keyboard was. I thought it was a prank or a sales opener but he just needed to know what it was called so he could tell a remote IT worker his password. He was calling it a hashtag.
