Implicit assumptions are those we don't know that we've made, which means we don't subject them to critical analysis. So if they are wrong, then they go unnoticed.

We would all like to believe that if we saw the warning signs of danger, we'd take action. But is this always the case?

One of the reasons we don't is known as the Bystander Effect.

If we want to understand causation in complex systems, we need to understand the role of Positive Feedback.
