This week in lecture we talked about the conspiracy of Barack Obama not being born in the U.S.. I am wondering why so many people refused to believe him after the birth certificate was released, and continued to view the situation as a conspiracy theory? #UWJ201 317

The article, “What Is The Good Life & How To Attain It” compares different philosopher’s perspectives, and I thought it was interesting how Socrates’ was obtaining inner peace while Aristotle mentions external values. What do you think is more important? #UWJ201 317

Seeing how different the reactions were to how rhetoric was framed in the second article for this week really surprised me. It makes me wonder what other similar rhetorics I have strong feelings about that I might be misinterpreting. Are there any you can think of? #UWJ201 317

Do news corporations really use the alarm style compared to longer term coverage because of that? Or do they just want to publish eye catching stories for engagement? #UWJ201 317

After reading "Who Owns the News?", I was quite surprised to see that only six owners control around 90% of the media. This is scary to me as there is more power to these owners to withhold news and curate what we see. I wonder how these corporations came to be and were allowed? #UWJ201 #317
