I think the algorithm has given up on me
Nothing makes me feel old quite like how many of my favorite music videos are 4:3
I might have to just re-record some stuff and have a "Editing Branan" interlude.

My goal with the live commentary was to capture my problem solving process, and I think as long as I'm doing voiceovers for small enough segments, I can still keep that "Learn along with me!" feel that I want to have?
GTNH video will be out on time tomorrow night, but as the editor: This jerk who recorded all the voice lines just keeps rambling on.

(It's me. I'm the jerk)
I've decided my implementation of ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/19... will be called "Unified Powered Discrete Orbital Guidance"
How I feel when I have an epiphany while reading NASA whitepapers
Friday's stream will be a bunch of #NextFest demos! I've found a few that look interesting, but I'm happy to take suggestions for automation/factory/puzzle games (or anything with a native Linux port!)

Come back again and wake me up at about half past May.
I think it's important to capture my thought processes and problem solving, and live commentary just does that better. But I also want to keep dead air and fluff to a minimum. Editing style will definitely evolve as I play with this more.
I'm trying to find a happy medium between the really tight edit of my 100 days in Py video, and the much looser feel of my old GTNH series and how I stream.
Today is going great.

I just realized that everything I recorded for the past twenty minutes is useless because I kept saying "py" instead of "gregtech".

Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world,... I feel like I can't take it. And my heart is just going to cave in.
About a year ago I moved out of the city and to the suburbs because it's cheaper. Where I live now, anything more nuanced than "straight" or "gay" is too complicated for people, and trying to explain "nonbinary" is right out. I'm all-but back in the closet in meatspace.

Seeing this today helped
If you can't come out right now, please don't hate yourself.
One day, the meaning of labels will disappear.

Please love yourself as you are.
The one who can cherish yourself the most is yourself.
Because that is your strength and beauty.
Chiitan loves you
Due to family obligations, today's stream starts and ends a little early. Join me in just a few minutes for more Cryptmaster!
I recently hit 400 hours in my #factorio #pyanodons game, and should hit 500 hours by the end of the year. I'd like to do a proper base tour for the milestone, but I'm not really sure what that would look like. Anyone have any good base tour vids I can ~~steal from~~ take inspiration from?
Arguably the `rm` behavior is only reasonable when deleting single files. When I want to delete an entire directory using `-r`, the individual file permissions shouldn't matter.

Still, I am left to work around this with a dangerous alias
I know `rm -f` everywhere is bad, but the totally reasonable `rm` behavior of confirming removal of write-protected files and the totally reasonable git behavior of write-protecting its files means that deleting temporarily-cloned repos always requires `-f`, and I am about ready to just alias it.

Huge milestone in today's #KerbalSpaceProgram stream. First manned orbit is completed!
Starting October off with a *ahem* bang.

Almost but not quite face reveal?
Yesterday's @thecryptmaster.bsky.social stream was a delight. I don't know why "lick" became the go-to verb for item chests

I also found a fruit (yuzu) the eye-door doesn't know. Apparently giant eyeballs don't vacation in Japan.

Will definitely make time for more of this during spooky season!
