Here’s a portrait of a great grey owl on a windy day in northeast BC. #greatgreyowl #owl #wild #wildlifephotography #nature
Also, my only encounter was pretty much right by your cabin, so stay away from there too lol.
As long as you stay away from the Yukon, BC, Alberta, the western US, Central America, and most of South America, you should be fine. But in all seriousness, if mountain lions were an actual threat to people, there’d be a lot more attacks. And that just isn’t the case. They keep to themselves.
I was just in Terrace recently and checked my trail cameras. Here’s a short compilation of clips. The last clip was taken about 12 hrs after changing the camera batteries. It will never not blow my mind that there’s lions in the forests here! #trailcamera #trailcam #gamecamera #cougar #mountainlion
Here’s a healthy cow moose that I photographed recently during a light snowfall near Tumbler Ridge, BC. #wildlifephotography #moose #canon #nature

So amazing you got to photograph these guys!!
Love the sense of scale in this photo by the talented @davebrosha.bsky.social!
The scale of the mountains across much of the Antarctic Peninsula are staggering. It’s such an incredibly dramatic place!

Each encounter was a memorable one for sure!
Part 4/4

Here’s a few lynx photos from over the years. Lynx will always be my favourite species to photograph, and even if a sighting doesn’t lead to photos, it’s still awesome seeing them!

Thanks so much Dave! I’ve been a big fan of yours for a long time, so this means a lot!
Part 4. On social media a lot of the photos we’re the most proud of get the least bit of engagement, so I’m going to share my own personal favourite shots that I took in 2024. Moose, great grey owl, lynx, snowshoe hare. #nature #photography #wildlifephotography #naturephotography
