Successful day of making a roast, pb fudge, homemade pasta sauce, and an atempt at a weird tart thing.
The tart thing failed.

The fires that took our home
Were fueled from afar
We accepted and lit our matches
And now we fall ablaze
Our home is alight with crimson
And ochre as we watch
Brother against sister
Father against child
People against people
And we slip ever faster
Towards our own homelessness
People without nation

I onve read many years ago that most politicians don't have to read the bills they submit. There're companies that write and summarize them and tell congress what they supposedly say. Directed by lobbyists.
Half of congress doesn't read. Half the country can't learn. And ppl get paid for propaganda

Keep in mind that the top #GOP and their #gopcronys are the kind of ppl that believe that giving ppl food and starving them to death are the same bc both result with no more complaining. Current executive branch is the same or worse.

Morning rigors
Stiff and fated
Bring loosening
Of both body and mind

Stretch, walk, yawn
Blood remembers
To carry life
Ghosts of dreams fade

Look up to
The coming day
And fuel the furnace
For what is to come

The movie Brazil comes to mind
“.. If you add more and more product to your face and are surrounded by people who do the same, ‘you lose sight of anatomic normalcy.’”

I'm slow this morning
Feeling age and weather
The choices of a too small
Repast from the evening before
And it correlates to
My soulful aches and tumult
As i live in the current time
Of upheaval and uncertainty
I know this feeling
I'll be good by lunch
Though the world
Needs more

Late morning and all i want to do is go write, relax, goof around, and not exist in a pseudo-dystopian capitalist hellscape of misinformation and anti-fact truism where compassion is suspect but cruelty is reliable.

Imma have some burritos.

The cold days are rearing
Up to say hello
And the chill in the air
Shifts to and fro

We huddle close together
And pull the covers tight
While whispering our orisons
To keep us through the night

Winter yawns and stretches
Covering the land
Naked trees and fields
Tundra without sand

This is from Autocracy, Inc, about how modern autocratic propaganda works.

I consider this every time I decide what to share and how to frame it.

As far as I'm concerned, mike johnson has done enough to gain the title, "Enemy of all Children"
And he'll never live that down.

Wow! It’s not even close. Food banks can’t keep up with the need…

Question: “How long is this sustainable.”

Food bank director: “It’s not… for every meal that a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides nine. There’s no way we can meet that gap.”
