“Zeb is a little bigger, so he is going to be a bigger target. The other two guys, Khalil and Josiah, are guys that I think are really versatile, can be inside and outside receivers.”

Brian Wright on the 3 high school wide receivers that are a part of NAU’s early signing class.

“Those are things we’ll take day by day as the process goes. He’s certainly going to elevate that room.”

Brian Wright of a redshirt is on the table for Donivan Dixon as he enters a quarterback room full of talent and players with years of eligibility remaining.
December 12, 2025 at 12:38 AM
“Donivan was always at the top. Very early on, as we threw that videotape on of him, and then started to get to know him and what he’s all about, we targeted him as the top guy all along.”

“By intention, we want to fill the voids. We want to add to typically every position every year. It seems like this day and age in college football you’re doing that more and more.”

NAU’s early signing class was fairly spread out across offense, defense and special teams.
December 11, 2025 at 12:17 AM
NAU's defense took a step back in 2025, allowing 31.3 points per game after just 18.8 points per game in 2024.

A drop off of over 600 total rushing yards from a year ago was also a regression, despite a deep RB room.

After retaining all staff last year, Wright will make changes.
NAU football has parted ways with defensive coordinator Adam Clark, as well as running backs coach Terry Swanson and defensive line coach Manako Tuifua, per source.

“It’s always about the people and the relationships. I think you have to develop that as a position coach, me as a head coach, all the people that are going to really touch the lives of their son while they’re here.”
