I cannot comprehend why the MSM in the UK continue to call Trump's latest Ukraine 'initiative' a peace plan. It is not. It is a 'surrender to tyranny plan'. Time for Europe to build its own alliance and consider leaving NATO to the US until they get rid of the orange felon.

The internal workings of the UK in microcosm.

Good to see this happening. It has been more than disappointing to watch Labour MPs do nothing whilst their party is stolen from them. Good luck to those sticking their heads above the dyke.

I laughed at this nonsense from Reeves. She's forgotten that respect is earned and not bestowed upon someone.

People who do deserve respect? Gisèle Pelicot, Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg.

No-one is perfect but there is no doubt that the delaying of a ‘shutdown’ decision by WM cost so many people dearly. The Scottish Gov’t could not order a shutdown without the financial offset of a furlough scheme - and that was impossible to fund as HR cannot run up a deficit.
Awful memories.

I hope that all of us here in Scotland can see through this ploy. We should vote for a Scottish indy party at next year's HR election. If rUK votes in Your Party (very unlikely) then fine. Then let's see if they deliver. However, a throwaway ad hoc comment is not the basis on which I'll be voting!

Total confusion reigns wrt the UN decolonisation process. JPTI say that we must show that the Scottish people want independence before declaring us a colony. Surely either we are or we are not? If we are then we should be announced as such. At that stage, the opinion of the populace can be sought.

Best description of Streeting ever! I laughed out loud. 🤣

The UK is nowhere near where it should be. Independence will improve things for Scotland by removing the far right as the major political force. Or it shows how much WM hates Scotland as an entity. Clearly we should have no right to our own opinion as to what happens in our country... This shows the fundamental issue with our "union": Scotland wants different things from England. Since England can outvote Scotland we get what we don't want.🤷🏼‍♂️

This story illustrates, perfectly, why Scotland needs independence. The sense of entitlement that WM has when it comes to Scotland is way beyond any decent democracy.
“… people will be very concerned if the UK Government is forging even closer relations with an extreme and racist #Trump administration that’s armed genocide in #Gaza, cozied up to Vladimir #Putin and shown total contempt for human rights.”
