A clear video showing that Alex Pretti was subdued, hands on the ground in front of him, when a federal agent removed his handgun – which he was licensed to carry. It was after the gun was removed and cleared from the immediate area, that he was shot multiple times and killed. It's murder.

I wrote this today because the language coming from the administration in the wake of Alex Pretti's murder/execution is setting the legal and moral groundwork for using the Insurrection Act to turn federal force inward – and that’s a line we should be paying close attention to before it’s crossed.

Frame-by-frame analysis of the video has shown that a federal agent had taken a gun from the victim, and was walking away with it, when another agent fired at least five rounds at point-blank range, as the victim was lying prone on the sidewalk. It was an execution.
Minneapolis Police Chief O'Hara: "The video speaks for itself. We have identified this person - 37-year-old, white male, resident of the city. The only interaction that we are aware of with law enforcement has been for traffic tickets and we believe he is a lawfully gun owner with a permit to carry"
