I’ve seen posts claiming this “truth” is evidence of dementia, but IMO that’s not the right frame. This is strategy. Since 2021, the right has been rewriting history, bending timelines, to connect their grievances (Covid) and conspiracy theories (Jan 6, censorship, etc) to the Biden administration.

Seconded. If you help ICE run, you help the system that brutalizes families and kids. Nobody working in that machine gets a moral pass — and history should remember them the way it remembers those who served the Nazis. We shouldn’t forget those who enable cruelty. We need to remember and ostracize.

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

So, it appears that they are building facilities for Qatari pilots who are being trained on the planes we’ve sold them. Which is not unusual. But Hegseth phrases this in a way that suggests something more akin to Qatari air base. So who knows?

Let’s stop pretending ‘antifa’ is some organized movement with leaders and membership cards. It’s shorthand for people who oppose fascism — a principle, not a club. The myth of ‘organized antifa’ is just a scare tactic used to justify repression.

It would seem we have a pretty good clue, given that current military leadership is going along with extra-judicial executions in the Caribbean, and sitting on their hands, watching sailors applaud while he gives a speech on a base, saying we need to eliminate the Democratic Party.

Back from Spain and Portugal. Wonderful trip, but sobering how others see the U.S. now. An Aussie couple hoped we were Canadian. An Iranian cab driver said he pitied us. Trump is widely mocked as an authoritarian clown. People still like Americans, but they’ve lost faith in America.

law enforcement officers to execute federal law. Id. at 1051-52. The President's determination
was simply untethered to the facts.

The only story coming out of Quantico: Trump told the highest ranking officers in the military that he will deploy troops against US citizens who oppose his policies. He will order them to kill Americans. That’s it. It should be the only thing the media focuses on. Nothing else materially matters.

Trump talking about US citizens who oppose him: "This is gonna be a major part for some people in this room.
That's a war too. It's war from within." This is embarrassing – for the military leaders who sit on their hands, while he outlines how they will violate their oaths in his name.
