Is trans-trauma-tism a thing? I kind of think it's a thing.

@qantas-official.bsky.social

So this has happened to us a bunch of times now the past few years. Including today.

You're obviously doing this on purpose, does it make you that much money in interest holding people's money unlawfully for a week or two?

Qantas customers left without access to thousands of dollars of their own money for days as calls go unanswered
Qantas customers express anger and confusion on social media, saying they have been charged multiple times for flights, but the airline says an issue with releasing pre-authorised funds is to blame.

In a bit of a Star Trek hole now that season 3 of Strange New Worlds has ended. It's making me miss The Orville too. They've both had some hard hitting episodes and arcs, and this is a bloody weird time to be alive and a nerd.

It seems that there's three camps now.

1 Fascists are cool, trans people should be eradicated from society.

2 Grifters should be able to profit from blatant lies and inciting hate.

3 We shouldn't sanitize or mourn dead grifters.

Which are you?
September 13, 2025 at 2:00 AM
I know it is 2025 and all, but somehow, people still have missed this, it became very apparent after that whole pew pew thing today, from a guy who claimed that it was worth it
September 11, 2025 at 11:51 AM
"I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."

Irony impaired, evidence resistant shooting victim.

Maybe in this case it was worth it? We can't ask him though.

So assuming civilisation makes it to 2033, who's planning the commemoration/memorial? of the nazi book burning of the German research in to same sex attraction and #transgender people?

We've gone so far backwards since 2009 when I was diagnosed, maybe in 2033 we can go forwards again?
September 4, 2025 at 12:05 AM
So these rise up straya people seem to have a lot of issues with the results of 50 years of neoliberalism (despite voting for it), and blame it on migrants.

It's the Nazi, then MAGA playbook, but they've self radicalised through networked idiocy and illiteracy rather than been lead by a grifter.

I'm legitimately impressed at Sussan Ley's ability to have experienced so much, yet learned so little.

That takes mad skillz.

Would anyone really be that surprised if the muskrat in a drug fuelled tweet said that he regretted having the election rigged now?

Are we doing enough to remove religion from public life in Australia?

There should be no blanket anti discrimination and tax law exemptions for them.

They should get no reverence in media, no lobbying, and no say in education, health or legislation.

None.

Evidence and human rights are paramount.

@ranzcp.bsky.social sorry, how the actual fuck does someone like Jillian Spencer become not only a doctor, but a psychiatrist?

How did some of your members support her?

I just watched her interview with commercial newstainment channel 7, it was disingenuous to say the least.

Not happy that Australian companies, who formerly would have used either their own driver or a taxi, are now using fucking uber.

They're an unethical, criminal company who's business model deliberately undermines workers rights and conditions, and now we've gone and normalised that shit.
May 30, 2025 at 1:26 AM
It really appears as though stupid people are so attracted to hero worship, which then further blinds them to evidence.

Anyone else come to this conclusion?

I grew up pedal powered, got in to triathlon after my first deployment, haven't been on bikes much since discharge

Got back on my MTB this year, yay!

I have questions, when did roadys all get disc brakes?

Does nearly everyone have an electric motor now? Seems like it.

When did I get old?

Glad the conservatives got rejected, means the LNP in QLD won't go full trumpian

I predict more mediocrity from @albomp.bsky.social though. Happy to be proven wrong, but he won't end neg gearing & CGT discount, collect corporate tax & mining royalties, dental & mental in Medicare etc

Jebus @albomp.bsky.social

Deeds not words.

That acceptance speech sounded great, but you left people behind in your first term and your policies will continue to leave those less fortunate behind.

Do better, be more progressive.

The fucken potato blames the current Labor government for the housing crisis

The cause is the Howard & Costello negative gearing & CGT discount, and every government since who hasn't repealed it

You don't need facts when you have brands and feelpinions voting blue or red out of ignorance

Did school drop off, home about 9 AM, it's sunny and getting warm, put on the AC at 24, and plugged in the wife's EV to slow charge. Solar is already generating nearly twice what everything is pulling this early.

Just sucks that we don't have solar on every roof & batteries throughout the grid.

So strange, yet predictable that our conservative wannabe PM promises a paedo register, of course he was an avid supporter of a certain cardinal paedo enabler and perpetrator.

Such a blatantly obvious appeal to fear and ignorance, whilst being massively inconsistent, as usual.

I spent ages this morning, flying around a Minecraft survival world asking questions about the terrain, until I discovered the crash site, the precious netherite items and the elytra with mending enchantment that my 10 year old had left behind when he speared in to the treetops

It's so ridiculous that both major commercially owned parties can't figure out how to fix our broken housing system

It's so simple, right now, a regular person, can't claim their mortgage interest against their taxable income, but someone buying their second, third, etc house can

Fix that

Jebus crisps businesses, it isn't a birthday present to give someone a voucher for a tiny amount off if they spend over a minimum amount that they weren't planning on spending, that's just shitty marketing.
