Yes: there was no substantive issue and the media moved on. However the timing of the story was no coincidence and I have no doubt was an attempt to distract from any positives that might have come out of the conference. Part of the constant drip of negative coverage of Starmer/Labour.

However, small 'c' conservative is going to be hugely beneficial compared to the shitshow in the USA as it becomes a failed state. Unfortunately they are too far down the slippery slope to prevent it now. Farage and the Right are tied very closely to Trump/Vance and will suffer for it.
