I write a lot of short (like ~1000 words) satire & memoir-esque things because that's really what my attention span can handle. On any given day I have about 50 ideas. It's very easy for me to start a fiction story, but incredibly hard for me to finish it.

I just finished my first ever fiction short story. 2389 words. Was sitting in my brain for well over a year and I finally finished it. Was sitting unfinished in my Google docs for about that long too.

A few days ago I sent both of my state senators a very polite message about global warming, and why we should be more united on that issue ASAP.

One of them took the time to respond. It was kind and thoughtful. These reps are supposed to work for the people-don't forget that.

I learned recently how important is is for humans to use our hands (typing not included in that haha) and that it's good for our brains! So I try to at least keep a pen-and-paper journal. When writing a story I often get frustrated that my brain moves 3453 miles an hour and my hand does not

My dad was 45, mom was 37. Mom said she would have liked to do it a little earlier, but at that age both of them were 100% ready. Of course it was also the 90s and things were just....not the shit show they are right now 😂
