teams really need to find a playstyle that works for them instead of just going damn how the fuck do i retake uhhhh WAIT im 1/4 to my zooka lets spend the time it couldve taken me to go forward and get paint control and picks and the objective just sat inking a fucking random patch in spawn yippee

teams that make 'special spam' work make a concious decision to play as zone heavy as they can and really coordinate their specials and find good points to use each one and how they play off each other, those who are just kinda bad at their mains/scared just paint and use specials randomly

a lot of teams play meta weapons that can kinda get away with it, especially more supportive options, and with enough coordinated play it really does work, and i kinda just take it as a different way to play, like there's a more main weapon focused and a more sub and special weapon focused playstyle

'dont fight, just get special' is only a thing i will agree with when its like a neo splash in the last 5 seconds of a tower game, there is little to no use in getting a special when you have no people fighting with it, ok nice the strikes and slider capped but all of us are still in spawn

One of the main things that helped me improve is learning to not always play to heavy special- or bombspam on lockout, but instead to fish for any opportunity to pull an off-angle.
