Our new paper examines how UK woodland creation may affect mammal populations. 🌳

Woodland species such as red squirrels could benefit, while grassland species may decline without strategic planning.

My final PhD chapter is now available at @peopleandnature.bsky.social

📱 💻 We used AI-automated internet searches (social-media posts, news etc.) combined with species distribution models to build maps of 🦇 bat hunting, trade and consumption for Indonesia.

Important findings from @wildjustice.bsky.social. Sadly unsurprising that housing developers are not delivering benefits for nature. As well as this, even when measures are implemented, there is sparse evidence for their effectiveness - we explored this in our 2021 paper doi.org/10.1002/2688...
