It's a psychological pathology called projection. Trump does it all of the time. It deflects attention away from one person onto another person, so that third parties can be manipulated to not comprehend the difference / reality. Eg. Crooked Hillary vs Crypto Don, Stop the Steal vs Jan 6th, Rig'd
