Universal has announced a second Universal Horror Unleashed location — Chicago! The new year-round immersive horror experience debuts first in Las Vegas on Aug. 14, 2025. The venue will be on Chicago Avenue at the former Tribune Distribution Center, between River North and West Town.

Disney shared details and concept art for a new parking and transportation hub coming to the east side of the Disneyland Resort. The hub will provide 6,000 parking spaces plus a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard and new esplanade experience. Construction slated to begin in fall of 2026.
This is only my speculation but I suspect we’ll be seeing pieces of the Monsters Inc. ride get a new home in the Monsters Inc. coaster coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The new Avatar area coming to Disney California Adventure will be built in the current Hollywood Backlot area. No construction timeframe for Avatar, but Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026.
Disneyland Resort has announced that the new Coco attraction coming to Disney California Adventure will be near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are currently “predominantly backstage.” Construction begins backstage this fall.
