Library members enjoyed two fall-themed paint & sip sessions with local artist Carla Riseman last week! Each class painted watercolor pumpkins while sipping on hot tea.

Look out for the next classes with Carla coming to the Library in December for adults and teens. 🎨🖌️🎃

Andrew Carnegie funded the construction of 1,681 libraries, including ours. Today we’re honored to share that the LSF Brookfield Library will receive a $10K gift from the Carnegie Co. of NY in 2026 as part of #CarnegieLibraries250, their new initiative in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

We’re batty about learning!Big thanks to Ranger Claudia and Ranger Joey from the Forest Preserves of Cook County for flying in for our special Bat-Themed Storytime! The kids loved exploring bat skeletons, feeling soft pelts, and discovering what makes these creatures so amazing!
