#CDFriday with A Happy Pocket by Trashcan Sinatras. Probably one of the group’s more underrated albums in part due to it not being released in the US initially, which is very unfortunate given the tracks that are on here. #NowPlaying

Harrow and Work Song are particular favourites around these parts, but the whole thing is v strong.

It’s been a Walker Week - lots of Walker Brothers earlier after a forum thread on mono mixes sent me down a rabbit hole. Now onto Scott’s solo albums proper, from these 1992 Fontana discs (stereo - no CD of mono).

I always see his 60s solo work as two pairs - Scott 1 & 2 and Scott 3 & 4.

They are at the least absolutely up there. Even/especially with the B-sides too.
There really is no band with as many absolute stone cold bangers as the Pet Shop Boys.

well Anthology certainly looks a lot better then the crappy rips (probably 480p dvd) I downloaded ages ago.

If Northern Picture Library had grown up, it would sound like this. Michael Hiscock plus Bobby plus Anne Mari plus Ian Catt = magic. Share far and wide. Elefant Records
