Maybe better to look at the Leader of Labour in Scotland, Anas Sarwar, whose venal change of mind following Starmer’s U-turn on the trans issue, seems to have gone under the radar of the media.

Last time I looked Scotland wasn’t an independent country and is subject to the UK Supreme Court and arbitrary decision of UK Gov like the stymying of the GRA Bill. SNP have been attacked and vilified by all media and well financed legal challenges on this issue. What else do you expect them to do?

It’s not his flag to be proud of. Just like I, as a Scot can’t be proud of the Cross of St George flag. He’s implicitly stating that he thinks he owns Scotland and that he can claim the Saltire as his own. Well he can GTF so far as I am concerned.

Nationalism is used as a pejorative label without a clear meaning. It’s a handy term to define SNP as it has “National” in its title. I wonder if they changed their name to the Scottish Patriot Party would they find favour with Labour flag huggers?

They are not pathetic they are a propaganda organisation for unionists. News is always presented to put the Scottish Government and Scotland in the worst possible light. It’s not accidental. Staff are clearly under instruction to do this.

Well said! This happens all the time. As if Scotland and the Scottish Government doesn’t exist. And yet demonstrators clad in St Gearge’s cross flags in some god forsaken place in England is all over the media in Scotland.

Contrast that with the 3 year police investigation costing £2.7m into what £600k donations was spent on by the SNP. And clearly every single penny of the millions poured into Labour Together has been fully accounted for.

If you want to experience relentless smearing then go to Scotland where you’ll find constant smearing where all the press (except The National) and the broadcast media queue up to smear the SNP and Scottish Government. And guess what, Labour in Scotland are their biggest cheerleaders.
