On 4 December 1865, Clémence Everard was born, the first woman to obtain a Belgian diploma in medicine. After her graduation in 1893 at the ULB, she worked in the laboratory of Paul Héger and collaborated with Jean Massart and Jules Bordet. Simultaneously, she opened her own practice in Brussels.

Went to a Belgian beer restaurant in Chicago several years ago and wasn’t sure if I really wanted to take a chance on the menu so I played it safe and ordered a Stella Artois.
The bartender refused to give it to me and said I had to order something more interesting. 😂 I wish I was making this up
