I watched The Matrix Resurrections last night, finally! Can someone explain to me what was wrong with this movie? It wasn’t ground breaking like the first couple but it was a decent return to that universe and a good action movie. Presented some new ideas and paid homage to the previous stories.

Watched Godzilla: Minus One on a plane ride the other day. I did not believe people when they told me how good it was. WOW! I thoroughly enjoyed that entire movie. The monster was great, the story was well done and touched on themes I didn’t expect in an artful way. Fantastic!

Listened to H. Jon Benjamin’s book “Failure is an Option”. Fantastic stories told in a way that only works through his unique comedic lens. The last story had me crying!
Watched the end of Andor S2, finally! I am so glad that so many people enjoyed this. Maybe I went into it with the wrong expectations but it felt very slow with way too much time spent developing characters that had little to do with the endgame. Did I miss something obvious?

Watched the newest Knives Out movie. @rianjohnson.bsky.social has managed to write and direct 3 entertaining and engaging murder mysteries! They’ve all been hilarious and suspenseful. Daniel Craig has really brought the character of Benoit Blanc to life. I love all of these films.

Watched Violent Night again with the family. What a great comedy/action/Christmas movie. David Harbour is a great Viking Santa. Just a bloody mess and I love it.

Recently watched FastX finally! It was fine. More of the same from the franchise. Jason Momoa was the standout. His villain was deliciously over the top and… likeable? So much better than previous F&F villains. Can’t tell if they’re trying to redeem Cypher or not. Look forward to the conclusion.

Just finished season 5 of #OnlyMurders in the Building. I still really enjoy this show. Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez are amazing together and the supporting cast and guest stars are always used very well. Storylines still keep me guessing!
Been a minute. Just finished #107Days by @kamalaharris.com Very interesting look behind the campaign curtain. Also brought back a lot of feelings I had personally from a year ago. Worth a read!

Finished “What in the world?!” By Leanne Morgan. She’s hilarious and I love how she’s becoming so successful without having had to sacrifice any of her time with her family. And that she’s so grateful for it. For people to find success on their own terms is always great to hear.

Finished the book Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. Fantastic listen by one of the funniest people. She’s intelligent and crude and witty. Really enjoyed the whole piece.
My wife, dad and I finished watching Ted Lasso. We had started it years ago and fell off because life happens. What an amazing show. It was so hard to live up to the expectations set by everyone talking it up. Wonderful series with amazing characters. Highest recommendation.

My wife, dad and I finished watching Ted Lasso. We had started it years ago and fell off because life happens. What an amazing show. It was so hard to live up to the expectations set by everyone talking it up. Wonderful series with amazing characters. Highest recommendation.

My dad and I finished watching Marvels “Eyes of Wakanda” today. Great animation and intriguing storytelling. The last episode has a twist that really ties the whole story together well. Worth your time! #Marvel #WakandaForever

Rewatched #Thunderbolts* with my wife, dad and son tonight. Saw it in theaters but hadn’t seen it again until now. It is fantastic and a shame that it didn’t meet box office expectations. Funny and meaningful with great action. I loved it. What did you think?
Finished “A Very Punchable Face” by Colin Jost. I’ve really enjoyed his time on SNL and this book is a wonderful addition to his comedic arsenal. It was insightful and honest (I assume). It was irreverent and meaningful. Will definitely read his next book, if he is nice enough to write another.

Just watched the movie Sketch by @sethworley.bsky.social. I had little expectations for the film having not seen much marketing for it. A kids movie shot like a horror film with a good message and great acting. My son (11) and his friend enjoyed it and so did my wife and I!
