I've wanted to play games the last few days, and I don't know if this is paralysis by analysis, but man nothing is grabbing me. I guess I don't even know what I want from a game right now.

The idea of more NHL games featuring both teams wearing dark jerseys is far more interesting to me than returning to white jerseys at home, as some really want.

In a perfect world, the Leafs would've traded Marner to a quiet corner of the NHL after losing to the Habs. Arizona would've been perfect for him. Keep Hyman and maybe make an actual run with players added with the cap space.

Just with the Oilers, and with two games less than, Hyman (60) is just three playoff points behind Marner's entire tenure with the Leafs (63).
$5.5 mil per year player worth more than an $11 mil player when it matters most. 35 goals in four years is more impressive than 50 assists in nine years.

I think a really tiring part of the "Leafs miss Marner" discourse is that they've missed Zach Hyman infinitely more over the course of five years. It only seemed to come up when he scored 50, but it feels like it discounts how much Hyman has meant and done for the Oilers.
