The two bins on the bottom right are both trees that were at a friend’s house, right next to each other. The one had the smallest shells I’ve found, and the other had the biggest ones I’ve found yet. It’s really been fascinating discovering just how different every tree is.

This is how every figure starts: checking the bins. Each bin is a different tree, because every tree has a different “face.” All the decisions are based on vibes and feel. I’ll go with whatever catches me. The top two bins are twigs, and assorted found items for accessories.

Something about this bugs me. The white dots don’t convey the same angle of the light source, so it looks like his eyes are spinning, or otherwise like one is lazy.

This shell looked like it had been through a war. I initially thought about making a warrior with it, but decided it had been through enough. I decided instead to make a veteran, retired to a life of peace, in the community that values them.
