One of the means by which we could uplift the poor is by helping them develop a positive mindset. That their situations can change if only they change their mind about being poor and setting up new goals on how to change their state of being

Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others. “Help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return. “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.

If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free. If our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed.

It can be said that there are four basic and primary things that the mass of people in a society wish for: to live in a safe environment, to be able to work and provide for themselves, to have access to good public health and to have sound educational opportunities for their children

The poverty of the people and the devastation of the natural environment painfully strike me

The very right to be human is denied every day to hundreds of millions of people as a result of poverty, the unavailability of basic necessities such as food, jobs, water and shelter, education, health care and a healthy environment.

Do not look the other way; do not hesitate. Recognise that the world is hungry for action, not words. Act with courage and vision

As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality exist in our world, none of us can truly rest.

Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation.
