If you’ve ever heard of nitrogen fixation or crop rotation, this is THE man who helped turn modern agriculture into what it is today. He often is remembered as “the peanut guy,” but his impact on how we farm today cannot be overstated. He uplifted Black farmers through popularizing these concepts.
George Washington Carver developed 300 derivative products from peanuts among them cheese, milk, coffee, flour, ink, dyes, plastics, wood stains, soap, linoleum, medicinal oils and cosmetics. #BlackHistoryMonth
