For history lovers - super interesting article about one Quebec man’s fight and eventual win against an American monopoly on maple syrup. Tariffs, hubris, questionable methods on the American side, it has it all!

The question I come back to with political statements like this is, do you think citizens are so dumb that they can’t understand geopolitical strategy and context or are the politicians just so dumb they actually believe it. This is not the time to muddy the waters for cheap political points.

I would love to vote NDP again, but I'm not voting for misinformed fear. Bring some ideas. Bring some solutions. Give us something to vote FOR not against.

I'm not smart or knowledgeable enough to offer commentary on whether Carney's moves on the China file are good or bad, wise or unwise; but I am smart and knowledgeable enough to know if Pierre Poilievre were PM we'd all be rockin' American licence plates by 2027.

The other countries should all form their own "Peace club" and not invite America. Let DJT sit at a long table by himself, waiting for those Billions to come in.

There is a free 3 year option or a 1 billion USD permanent option. If we have to do this, it’d better be the free one.

An American just suggested to that Canadians should contribute to a strike fund for them. Lord how I wish I had gotten a screenshot before I was blocked. All I did was πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ lol
So now that we have all heard excuses from the Americans about how they cannot boycott their own businesses, with all kinds of STUPID excuses as to why not, and cannot general strike to end their reign of terror, I say this to them

GRAB HIM BY THE PUSSY AND GENERAL STRIKE

STOP BEING THE PUSSY

And..I’m blocked. They are seriously delusional. Wish I’d screenshotted the response, which suggested that Canadians contribute to a strike fund so the USians can strike. As if!!!

It was indeed fast and cheap to Canada. No extra fees to be paid upon delivery either.

Just saw it noted that 100% of the world’s Ozempic supply comes from Denmark, as does a somewhat smaller percentage of the world’s insulin. Almost as if it’s really quite a small world!

It’s difficult to avoid US food in Canada, especially in the winter, but Canadians are nothing if not determined.

We’re good in Quebec as well, but it was a different story when travelling to SW Ontario, at least to find level 3 chargers.

Sometimes, I feel like I really don't understand fairly simple ideas and concepts as well as I should, but then I go look at Pierre Poilievre's Twitter timeline and I feel so much better about myself.

He has no idea. Generalization here - most Americans have never understood how they’re perceived from the outside either.
