I am sad to see even people I respect celebrate tragedy in all its forms around the world. It's become too much to constantly block and mute. I'm abandoning social media except for LinkedIn (professional content only) and FB for family.

Peace to you, and I wish for you to have love in your heart.

When approaching the topic of estimating cost/effort for an analysis project, two questions are important:

- What level of detail do you need?
- What level of detail can you afford?

I've found almost all other considerations boil down to these two questions.

At 23, Thomas Jefferson went to Philadelphia to be inoculated for smallpox when Virginia wouldn't allow vaccinations. He later vaccinated 200 family members and neighbors. None of them got smallpox.

Asked my daughter how her 1st day at work went. "People are terrible! I got yelled at for forgetting BBQ sauce for some chicken nuggets!"

I felt so bad for her. I gave her a big Dad hug, told her it would get better.

Then I told her maybe next time she should remember my BBQ sauce

If you have kids/grandkids/kids you are involved with, here's a tip:

Teach them *how* to learn, how memory works, and how to take notes. I'm finding a lot of schools are not teaching these basics, and I'm having to re-teach that in my college classes.

Oral surgery today. Tooth extraction, bone grafts, another tooth is getting a filling, then a crown. All in one visit.

Thoughts and prayers for all involved highly desired, since I'm not great with all this.

How's your day going?
