The thing is that it's not a trick. It's the republican playbook and it has been since the 1970's. And the more you erode the educational system and the ability to think logically and critically, the better it is going to work. Add in a complicit media who are willing to play the republican game .

Been there myself and I can joke about it now, but at the time it was not funny. I laugh now but my dad could not remember his own kids names but he never forgot his dog's name. He called us all "Buddy." At least I knew in the family hierarchy, I was somewhere below the dog.

It's the very same test my dad took when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He passed it initially as well. That didn't last long. And yes, there has to be a reason they keep administering it. There's no way he has passed that test.
