"they would not be able to actually get better in life for themselves" brought me to actual tears.
It is so much easier to listen to him, as they would not be able to actually get better in life for themselves. He only asks them what they ate in the evening. Casual, no judgement. The only drugs he’s allowed to bring to their apartment is nicotine and weed.
