I have stopped wondering if she had an editor at all, and started wondering why her editor was actively suggesting things to her to make her book worse.
Truly sorry to keep posting these but I cannot believe this book is real.

I'm sure the shift to the E line will be good, but man. I rode the 6 to the University when I moved here, and then I shifted straight to riding the 6 further to work. It's like losing a room in my apartment.
Final ride on the Metro Tranit (Twin Cities) Route 6. Nice crowd of U of MN types, probably 25 of us early in the route. Tomorrow the replacement E Line bus rapid transit bus starts. Tonight as always I will be getting off at a stop that the Route 6 honors but the E Line will not.

I love this. More organizations should do this kind of thing, and do it this blatantly.

Eventually it's not even flattery it's just insulting him to his face in a way he's psychologically incapable of recognizing.

So many people hate this plan because it is "monstrous", "tacky", and "a relentless public humiliation for the entire country", but personally I love it (same reasons).

It's very frustrating to see people give Tim Walz credit for all of the amazing things the Somali community has done for Minnesota.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

So this will probably just be funny, but let's all remember that this is the bad place and Minnesota has a history of occasionally just electing utter weirdos for no apparent reason.

Go lower the flag some more why don't you.
We welcome support in investigating and prosecuting crime. But pulling a PR stunt and indiscriminately targeting immigrants is not a real solution to a problem.

The main thing to take away from this is that Georgia State College of Law is the world's easiest law school, and that no one graduating from can be safely assumed to have minimal literacy.

After years of this kind of article I think they're just lying about it.

This is just a thing Republican legislators tell Democrats in order to convince them that their horrifying votes reflect a response to death threats, rather than monstrous things they wanted to do.

I support this so much, but deep down I know they'll probably just wimp out eventually and add something in there about "if they're committing crimes."
Here's my latest in MSR: Three Minneapolis Council Members said signaled that they would support local police arresting ICE agents: spokesman-recorder.com/2025/11/23/m...

Eventually Garcia is going to end up naturalized by sheer force of adverse inference.
A senior ICE official just admitted in an evidentiary hearing in Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s case that someone else drafted his declaration in the case and he didn’t know what certain words meant.

It seems like they'd be operating a motor vehicle without a license, right from the start.
I would like, at the very least, for city council to act ASAP to put *some* regulatory framework in place. Let's not replay the Uber and scooter playbook yet again.
Waymo, the driverless ride-hailing company, is bringing its fleet of autonomous electric vehicles to Minneapolis.

It's very funny that the bill ordering Trump to release the Epstein files allows an exemption for active investigations, given that he just very publicly ordered the justice department to open investigations into his political opponents.

I believe under federal law "was not actually indicted" is an affirmative defense against charges you haven't actually been indicted for, and this could substantially strengthen Comey's legal defense against ok hold on here
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

"Malort advent calendar" is already such an unhinged concept but every little window just having Malort in it really pushes it over the edge into something transcendently funny

It's baffling to me that someone would watch black mirror and come away with the idea that this is a good idea as opposed to, like, the one with the Prime Minister and the pig.
Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

I love this every time it comes up, and it makes me sad that Minneapolis - St Paul will never have the opportunity to do something similar.

One thing that's fascinating to me is which Republicans, long after it's clear that this will be far more damaging to the Republican party than the Democrats, are still pushing to release the Epstein information.

I don't know if it's from principle, or a principle I would respect, but it's wild.

A genuinely impressive amount of my job is dealing with people who got a (very clear) letter and don't know understand what it says, but who would be shocked if someone described them as having low literacy.
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy
