It's absolutely horrible how much young women and young girls are exploited to make money for others. Their confidence is broken down, their talents abused and their skills underpaid.

I'm glad some of them are thriving now, I hope the hyper religious ones find peace too someday

leaving a cult is the most exhausting thing to do when most of your family is still in it. Out of us 8 kids- 2 of us have fully left and 1 is mostly out.

Out of the five remaining at least 2 are deeply involved in the cult and unlikely to leave.

I've also got the *awesome* pressure of being the eldest daughter and kid.

So my value in the family was already in the dumpster before I left. I was a big disappointment, never good enough and "too emotional"

Leaving a cult is exhausting 😭 I left it completely over 5 years ago but my family is still in it. Every once in a while I have a conversation with another sibling where they basically call me a bad person for leaving 😭 I have 7 siblings

Ok so when I was wearing braces as a teen part of the wire broke and got stuck in my tongue 😭 it was on a 4th of July so my orthodontist had to come in on his off day to help me 😭😭😭
