Lately I've been thinking about character pose design, when to use simple shapes and when to convey more complex forms. Pushing poses seems to be about going one step further than you feel comfortable with. Lookin at James Harren's work

With over 100 pages, it can take hours or days to check everything, and every edit risks creating new problems.

Putting files together for print means keeping track of a lot of small details, especially when working with a specific printer. Doing it all independently makes it easy for things to slip through, so you just focus on fixing major issues.
