🚨IT’S OFFICIAL! 🚨 @netflix.com announced The Fall of Favre, an Untold series doc that will debut on May 20. I served as executive producer on the project brilliantly directed by
Rebecca Gitlitz. Working with EverWonder Studio and Time Studios on FOS' (and my) first doc was an honor.
My wife watching that commercial: "That's cool."
Me: "Screw that shit. I ain't opting into the surveillance state. Pebbles and Fria have AirTags already and I wouldn't miss Chucky."

Check that. It was apparently a Nest camera, not Ring as had been reported initially. Nest is owned by Google.

Given Ring's Super Bowl ad highlighted privacy concerns, Amazon and other companies need to be straightforward with customers. www.ms.now/opinion/ring...
Opinion | Ring is using lost dogs to make the surveillance state adorable
The same technology the Amazon-owned company uses to find lost dogs could easily be turned against their owners.

It was reported that Nancy Guthrie's Ring subscription wasn't live and, therefore, the images and video were unretrievable. Now the question is, how did the FBI (or private sector partners) get these? Does Amazon's Ring store footage even without a subscription? Were theyretrieved from hardware?

There's one Fanatics mention in the Epstein files—and of course it contains a needless redaction.

I’m Mexican and I am banned by local rink for brawling a little too hard. I bet that rink made a deal with China!

China and other parts of Asia make nearly all the hockey gear. Like, close to 90%. Just adding more context so you know how totally preposterous this Trump post is.
Trump, in the middle of his latest unhinged Truth Social screed, claims that if Canada makes a trade deal with China, "the first thing China will do is terminate ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada, and permanently eliminate The Stanley Cup."

I'm trying to be concise but here's the long version: whatever bullshit gets brought up by agitators that you think requires you to participate means they are still in charge. you're being a mark if you continue their cycle. instead participate in what *you* want and with the people you like

Mistakes do happen. We are human. But when we are wrong, you admit it, explain how it happened and take steps to ensure it doesn't happen again. When that doesn't occur (and quickly), false info spreads and people take it as fact.

Keena Graham, the superintendent for the Medgar & Myrlie Evers National Monument, told the @mississippifreepress.org flat-out that the not only was the first MS Today story was wrong, so was its follow-up: "I have no idea what he’s referring to."

The @mississippifreepress.org did some legwork to disprove brochures were removed. After the MS Today story hit with the headline "Medgar Evers’ killer was a Klansman, but Trump administration says stop calling him a racist," the Free Press pubbed this. www.mississippifreepress.org/brochures-ca...
Brochures Calling Medgar Evers’ Killer ‘Racist’ Still Available at Evers Home
Brochures detailing the true history of the racist who killed Medgar Evers are available at his memorialized home in Jackson, Mississippi.

Our first job as journalists is to get the facts right, something the Pulitzer Prize-winning Mississippi Today failed to do when "reporting" brochures were removed from the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Home National Monument that called his murderer a “racist.”

That myth soon spread.

The use of AI for anonymous documentary interviews is intriguing. Putting aside the ethical questions, I thought this use of digital anonymization was a tad distracting in the Letby doc. (I was studying the footage very closely.) Here's me setting up the tried-and-true setup for such shoots below.
