I'm very sad to share the news that our lovely @chaoticauthor.online has passed away. His ending was peaceful and surrounded with love but came far too quickly after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
I've known Matt for years. He was a warm, gentle, generous, all-weather friend. I miss him.

You folks get the news before I put it on LinkedIn. I got the call yesterday, and I've secured a new job - I'm going to be working at the fifth ever small-format IKEA store in the US! I've been an IKEA fanboy for years and helping literally build this store from the ground up psyches me up!
So about a year ago at this time, my husband and I learned that the TV station where we worked was going to automate production and that by mid-March, the production department would be eliminated. Directors, graphics, sound, editors - all gone. >>

I went into a Starbucks for the first time last week and my cup said 'What's your favorite holiday song?' and I was getting Christmas Ghostface vibes off it.
So this is just like the Starbucks Baristas having to do compliments and write kind things on the cups, an act of faux kindness that will also make the retail people even more miserable.

Watched #WeaponsMovie last night - really good and surprisingly funny in parts! Saw #ShelbyOaks today - while I didn't like a framing device change about 25 minutes in, overall the story was pretty engaging and a good watch.
