An excellent Underwurlde-inpsired arcade adventure - very similar to its predecessor, Nodes of Yesod.

I didn't know it was released for the Amiga.

Arc of Yesod

Arc has you exploring the planet Ariat in search of the strange crystal that powers the mysterious Black Monolith. With fab graphics, great music and a huge map to explore, it's an excellent game, it's just a shame it's so like its big brother.

1992 - very late in the day for the old breadbin.
c64reloaded.bsky.social
Yes '92. Very late in the 64's life.

Arnie

Chris Butler’s Arnold Schwarzenegger-inspired shooter puts a clever isometric spin on the classic run-and-gun formula. Nice graphics and addictive, action-packed gameplay make this a cracking little Commando clone.

Yes. It was a fortune to buy a film back then. That's why video rental was so big.

It moves beautifully. Personally, I love the look of Uridum. It blew me away when I first saw it back in early '86.

Alleykat, Alleykat,
What are they feeding you?
Alleykat, Alleykat,
It’s not your fault!

You’re a racer, a blaster, a flying machine,
Graphics are cool and the sound is a dream.
Ducking and diving with skill and with pace,
It's clear to see, Alleykat is ace!

Aliens

Aliens is an atmospheric title that effectively captures the film’s vibe with dark visuals and bursts of panic-filled sound. Managing multiple marines is challenging, but its tension & cinematic feel made it one of the best film tie-ins at the time.

Well worth a go. It's easy to pick up and play.
c64reloaded.bsky.social
Yes, lots of fun. Haven't played the Atari version. I'll look it up.
c64reloaded.bsky.social
Haha! Love that. I guess you and Col were destined to be together.
c64reloaded.bsky.social
It was. It marked a turning point for Mastertronic. The games they had churned out in their first year or so were awful but this (and Finders Keepers) proved that budget games didn't have to be bad games.

Action Biker

Action Biker puts you in control of Skips-scoffing motorcyclist Clumsy Colin biking around an isometric town collecting items & upgrading your machine. An early Hubbard soundtrack & addictive, open-world gameplay provided plenty of £1.99 fun.
c64reloaded.bsky.social
Yes, it was very nicely done - super impressive in '86.

Love it! Thanks for sharing. Do you have a link to the full comic strip?

Ace of Aces

Ace of Aces puts you in the cockpit of a WWII RAF Mosquito, juggling dogfights, bombing runs and train attacks. With cool graphics & sound, neat presentation & a clever mix of flight simulator and combat-action gameplay, it's a cracking title.

Haha! None of it made sense or had anything to do with the TV show. They basically had to make a helicopter game so it appears that they just decided to use the Fort Apocalypse concept.

Airwolf

The game of the 80s TV show Airwolf is a multi-directional scrolling rescue mission packed with narrow tunnels, gun turrets and deadly hazards. Controls can be tricky but the graphics are decent and the gameplay, although tough, is highly addictive.

Ancipital

Jeff Minter’s Ancipital is a surreal blaster across 100 screens. You fire only while moving, battling bizarre baddies as you progress. Punishingly tough yet hypnotic, it’s classic Llamasoft: colourful, original, eccentric & utterly compelling.
