That's not right, I think the tax breaks go out over 10 years. There are also big cuts to medicare, medicaid, medicare savings program, SNAP, etc. I don't know how these reductions result in some premiums doubling, but whatever the math, it's unacceptable. The healthcare system is undermined.

Just for perspective, I think that it should be noted that revenues in the health care industry in America are about $5 trillion dollars annually. If you have to cut a trillion dollars out of that to give tax breaks to the Bourgeoise, that's a 20% cut in healthcare. Costs/premiums skyrocket.

I read that the felony trial starts today of a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent. Charging this man with a felony seems extreme. Lets see if the jury thinks so too. Technically, you could consider it an assault, so he could go down for it, but in my opinion, it's a hero sandwich.

Something is bothering me. I did some research to try to get a handle on it, and it's still bothering me. The GOP passed legislation authorizing ANOTHER 5 TRILLION in the debt ceiling. Trump will make this his personal credit line, using it all up in just months, I fear. He's a junkie spendthrift.

Trump says it's highly unlikely he'll send Federal funds to NY because the Mayor-elect is a "communist." And this from a fascist. I don't think we should be funding a 34x felon who is using the office of the Presidency to run rackets and extortions schemes. It seems Congressional Democrats agree.

Where in hell did someone come up with the idea that you could deport people to countries other than their country of origin. If that's not cruel and unusual punishment, what is? This practice must be stopped. Sending people from Latin America to Liberia, FFS, is pretty goddamn unusual. And cruel.

I am personally sorry, and I apologize to our wonderful ally, Canada, for the treatment coming from this putative diplomat. We all know he's not a real diplomat, but simply another Trump goon, unqualified, grossly profane and lacking in manners. I agree that formal action is called for.

The Democrats cleverly picked one issue, the huge cutbacks in healthcare, as the ostensible hill they chose to die on. But I could see using the shutdown as an overarching strategy to starve the Trump government, 'cause if you fund it, you're just funding a racketeering operation. Get him out!

Is it a bridge too far to say the GOP is starving the children of America because children that are weak from hunger are easier to rape? I would say yes, except that the GOP shuttered the United States House of Representatives solely to protect rich child rapists, so it's not an uncalled-for slam.

If the authorities won't enforce the law and the inalienable rights of citizens, I suppose one would have to resort to the courts. And if they won't provide a remedy for clear violations of law and civil rights, what alternative is a citizen left with? I guess it's self-evident.

This evidence of an ICE agent spraying people who are simply taking video is all I need to see to understand who the criminals are in this scenario. If you are behaving legally, you want video of the incident. Only criminals try to stop the videos.
